Two ways to reach us, both read by a person. Use the form, or email us directly if you would rather not.
We read everything that arrives. Replies usually take a few days, and a message with the page URL and your browser in it gets answered a lot faster than one without.
Or use the form
The form below is hosted by Google Forms, so what you submit goes to Google and then to us. If you would rather not involve a third party, the email address above reaches the same place.
Form not loading? Some privacy extensions and content blockers stop Google Forms from appearing. Open it in a new tab or just email us instead.
What to write about
- A bug or a wrong score
- Tell us the browser, the device, the page, and what you saw. Screenshots of the results screen are ideal.
- A factual correction
- Our guides cite their sources. If one is wrong or out of date, send the page and a reference and we will fix it.
- A language or feature request
- Especially a missing language. We will tell you honestly whether it is quick or whether it needs engine work.
- Anything legal
- Copyright, takedown, or a question about the terms. Same address, and it reaches a person.
Before you email about a score
Most "my score looks wrong" messages turn out to be the scoring model rather than a bug. Words you mistyped and left wrong do not count toward WPM, accuracy is judged at the moment you press each key and is never restored by backspacing, and a language whose characters sit under modifier keys will read lower than English for the same skill. All of that is written out on how we measure typing speed, which is worth a look first. If it still seems wrong after that, we genuinely want to hear about it.
Who you are writing to
MonkeyTyping is an independent site, not a company with a support department. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to any other typing website. That means replies come from a person rather than a queue, and it also means we cannot always reply quickly.
Questions people ask
How do I report a bug in the typing test?
Email [email protected] and tell us which browser and device you were on, which page you were using, and what happened. If the test scored something that looks wrong, the numbers from your results screen help a lot.
Can you add my language?
Very likely, yes. Adding a language means writing a list of its most common words, which is the slow part rather than the code. Email us the language and we will tell you honestly whether it is straightforward or whether it needs work on the input handling first, as Chinese, Japanese, Korean and Thai currently do.
Something on a guide page is factually wrong. Who do I tell?
Us, please. Email [email protected] with the page and what is wrong, and a source if you have one. Our benchmark pages cite where their figures come from, so corrections with a reference get fixed quickly.
Should I use the form or email?
Whichever you prefer, both reach us. The form is hosted by Google Forms, so anything you put in it is submitted to Google before it reaches us and is covered by Google's privacy policy rather than ours. Email goes straight to us with nobody in between. The rest of the site still collects nothing at all: your typing results never leave your browser either way.
